Best place in the area for steak!

EDIT: My last visit , in December, was one of the best visits that I've had at Lucky's. My burger was cooked exactly like I like it (well done, no pink), the food was fresh, the meat was fresh, the waitress was very friendly and brought bread when we finished the first loaf. Definitely a great visit, so I'm changing my review. :) OLD REVIEW: Very hit-or-miss. Fettucini alfredo and macaroni and cheese are pretty good. Their chicken tenders are VERY greasy. The bread and their chunky potato soup are basically the best things on their menu. I'm pretty sure all of their meat first comes frozen. Price is way too high for the quality of their food. The service is...okay. Not great, not too bad either though. It depends on the time of day you go and what server you get. All in all, it's a good restaurant to go to if you're okay with having expensive, decent food.

This is not a 5 star. It was good for the price, but really loud. I hate to say it too, but the people rating this 5 stars need to get out more. Maybe it's because I'm from Texas and we know what good beef is, I don't know but this generally just didn't suit it for me. Service was definitely attentive, but that doesn't win the battle for me. I will note the mah maui another member of our party had at the table was good, but generally wouldn't go out of my way to return here.

Absolutely fantastic, unpretentious steakhouse in southeast Michigan. My family comes here for every birthday and special occasion because the food is amazing! The steaks are great quality and marinaded very well. Everything else I've tried has been excellent as well. My mom swears that they have the best wedge salad she's ever tasted, and we usually devour the bread they serve at the table, as well as the flowering onion that we love so much. I am always in favor of individually or family owned restaurants, and lucky's puts any chain steakhouse to shame!

I live in Clinton township but I pass many food establishments to come here to dine. Let me say first of all this place is a winner in the bang for your buck category. Each time I come here I am amazed at the quality and taste of there food. The prime rib, steaks and fish are all good and cooked to your liking. Appetizers that you cant go wrong with are the stuffed mushrooms, fish tacos, mussels and calamari. This is a must try if you can take the drive. The atmosphere is casual and clean ( its no Capital Grill) but the food and cost make up for it.

Came here on our way "Up- North" ... sat down for dinner, and was waited on promptly. Had their prime rib, and it was for sure a reheat. GROSS... I love the fact that everyone is in a certain dress code.. adds to the experience. Salad had a bunch of wilting leaves in it, most likely because of the current weather and lack of sysco care like always. Overall I think the service is great but the food needs to be upped in quality if they plan on getting the money they want for the food we ate.

First time here. It is safe to say that this has become my favorite restaurant. Service is top notch, food is impeccable. I had the Stuff Grouper with baked sweet potato,,,,,,, WOW! I recommend Lucky's to everyone.

I know...I'm an idiot...We went back for lunch. First time in my life I ever left a 0 tip...at least the service was always good there....even that is hit and miss....I thought I would order a steak, instead of the prime rib....most tasteless piece of meat....I order steak at chile's and it's better than this...my husband has chewing issues so ordered the chopped steak which was dry and tasteless..no seasoning...no flavor.....I'm done with this place. Waitress ignored us after we got our food....we listened as she explained the menu in its entirety (which she never did with us) to two tables as we waited for the check. She brought us containers, at least the dogs would have a feast....and we waited and we waited and we waited...finally i got up and presented by check to the hostess.....she went and got the server...nice job everyone! Another 5 minutes and we were out of there...oh, and they messed up my order...doing me a favor and giving me the 7.00 lobstertail for free that ended up on my plate....piece of tasteless rubber...probably reheated from last night....I am so done with this place...promise!

I started with the tortilla soup which was decent, not great. Bread was hot and really good. I ordered the rib eye, 16oz. The steal was seasoned nicely, cooked perfect (I ordered med-rare) and a large cut of meat. I also got the baked potato which was huge! My wife for he two filet and shrimp with a sweet potato. Steak was great, the shrimp was alright, the breeding fell off easily and the sauce was too thick. Her potato was also massive. All in all, a really good steak house to go.

I did not expect to discover a perfectly cooked filet tonight. To my delight, I was served 9 oz of perfectly rare awesome. Everything was spot on. The French onion soup had a perfect crust..service was on point, foot the most part. All in all a very nice anniversary dinner. I definitely prefer the evening over lunch even though lunch is okay.

This is a good example of time management ruining an otherwise pleasant experience. The space is very nice, cozy tables, a nice fireplace, and warm lighting effects. The food is quite good, they're generous with the bread, and the soups are well made with fresh ingredients. But the wait time was unacceptable. On a busy work lunch, it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes for your food to come out. It took nearly 30 minutes today, and they weren't at full capacity. Overall, might try again, but only if I have time to kill.

Solid food decently prepared. Large quantities and attentive servers. Not a gourmet experience but safe.

My boyfriend and I stopped at Luckys this evening after we both agreed it's well worth the 45 min, 40 minute drive! We arrived mid dinner rush around 6:45pm and had a 45 minute wait. Place was packed. Waiting area was filled. People even sat and waited in their cars. We got seated in a nice booth. Victoria was our waitress and we were greeted immediately and she took our drink orders in a snap! Quickly brought us our Cokes and we ordered our food as she dropped off a fresh loaf of bread (so good!) My boyfriend ordered the 22oz ribeye and asked for it between medium rare and medium and it was perfect. Zip sauce was a perfect touch and he ate the whole steak and it stayed juicy from start to finish. His side of fresh asparagus was a pretty large portion. Was a little hard and tough but far from soggy. I ordered the stuffed salmon, the special. Was topped with shrimp, crab meat and creamy lobster sauce. Huge portion. I'm pretty hesitant of ordering salmon at restaurants because the list of restaurants I don't like salmon at is pretty lengthy. Best salmon I have ever had. Tons of seasoning and spices but not too overpowering. Juicy. Falls right apart with each bite. The shrimp and crab meat added a nice flavor to each bite. Menu is pretty big and it's hard to choose what to eat because everything sounds so good. Most entrees come with one side and a salad. Desserts and dressings are made in house. Service was outstanding. We got our food quickly. Everything was prepared perfectly. My boyfriend took 40 minutes to eat his ribeye and our waitress Victoria didn't rush us at all. We get a ton of food for your money. Well worth the drive. Can't wait to go back soon!

I'm from New Jersey so when I come here I feel like a queen! The value for the quality and quantity of food is terrific. I always start with the bread that they give out, warm and fresh every time! I've had the filet mignon and salmon, both delicious! Plenty of sides to choose from. I've had the creamed spinach and steamed broccoli. I haven't tried dessert here because I'm always too full to try any. Half the restaurant is dining room area with tables and booths. The other half has a bar and bar tables/booths. Either way, it's worth a try!

LOVE their bread- it is so good!!! Took my mom here on Tuesday 8/13/14 for her first visit to get her and the rest of our party (family members) addicted to it's overall tasty food options at VERY reasonable prices. 7 people ate for $115.90 after tax Here's the run down- everyone enjoyed the bread and their dinner- nailed it!! Dinner salads come w/ the entrees- they have good ranch dressing. Two people ordered the shrimp scampi $15.99 each, I liked my steakhouse salad $10.99- I ordered the filet medallions cooked medium, ribeye w/ loaded baked potato $19.99, 12 oz prime rib $16.99, sea bass $14.99, chicken fingers $4.49, a glass of Cabernet and Pinot Nior $5.25 each The bathroom was clean, Heather our server was attentive and had a pleasant personality. We went at 5pm on a Tuesday and they were just starting to get busy- weekends have long waits so plan accordingly. They take reservations for parties of 10 or more. Eat here- you won't be disappointed!

The always consistently, perfectly, laid back, unpretentious steak house. I've been coming here for a few years and have been able to stop in a couple of times a year on my travels to visit family in the surrounding area. I have always been incredibly happy with the surroundings, food and staff. The restaurant itself is very large and open, with country style tables and decor that gives off a vibe that maybe masks what great food will shortly be filling, and I mean filling, the table. There is no sticker shock here either, prices are very reasonable. Yes, the portions here are huge, everything starts as the upsized combo meal, if you catch my drift. They bring out these amazing mini-loaves of bread that I haven't had in any other restaurant, as far back as I can remember. Think about the Olive Garden breadsticks, then make them good. This visit was a Christmas Eve lunch stop with family and the sandwich menu was a great respite. Around the table was a Grilled Chicken Salad, Mushroom Swiss Burger and I had the Prime Rib French Dip Sandwich. The burgers were huge, the salad was as big as the person eating it and I had pretty much a whole Prime Rib tucked into a bun with an Au Jus that was very tasty. Kudos and carry out boxes all around. Listen, if you're in the area, and want something other than fast food, this is the place for you.

Been here many times and its been good, but lately its gone downhill. Ordered a prime rib and not even sure what it was, it was like shoe leather. For being a steakhouse, they don't live up to their name. Even the management was unsatisfactory when settling a problem that was their fault. Been unimpressed lately.

Great food! Ribeye with Gorgonzola and gnocchi side. Great service. Only complaint is it was loud but still giving it 5 stars!

Always a good. Steak is cooked perfectly, if you get prime rib it is hand cut and they are generous on size. Waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Never disappointed at Lucky's. it is our special occasion restaurant (birthdays, etc) since it is almost an hour away. The Lucky's Ale is fabulous and the bread they bring you is awesome. I only ever eat half my meal, but the leftovers are just as good the next day! My go-to is the gorgonzola ribeye but the burgers are satisfying in their own right.

Always heard how good this place was. I've been there four times now. First time had a reuben sandwich, second time a black and blue burger both were not well at all. Third time 7 oz. filet fourth time the 9 oz. filet, I always use steak sauce. Not these two times, I didn't even put any pepper on it, I always put pepper on everything. The filets were seasoned perfect! My wife has had the prime rib and the porterhouse which she loved. The bread they serve is really good, salad was nothing special. I know it's just salad but usually they have some kind of taste, this had nothing. Potato soup was good. Kept going back because my wife loves the prime rib. Service has always been nice, greeters need some work.

It's a typical steakhouse and bar combo, however, the food is AMAZING! Everything arrived fresh and the wait staff was accommodating. We went for a bday party, and they even put our own cake in their freezer for us, and brought it out and the staff sang happy birthday with us! I had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, and the stuffed grouper for the entrée and it was beyond delightful. The portions were perfect, and they bring loafs of hot fresh bread before your meal, which are to die for. The only true negatives of the restaurant are that they do not take reservations, so therefore you have to arrive super early if you have a large party, and the atmosphere is a bit loud, however, that being said, it was well worth the drive, and the experience was amazing! I'd highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good, yet super casual steakhouse for dinner!

This place is about the half way mark between my home and my frequent destination in Canada, so I often stop here for lunch. Its comfortable, the food is usually very good and the wait staff has always been attentive. I would not hesitate recommending Lucky's.

I am not a big meat person but my mom and husband love steaks so I figured we'd give this place a try one weekend. It was PACKED but we didn't have to wait too long. There are so many dishes to choose from! The food was okay but I give it three stars because there is SO much food for the price! The bread and flowering onion were delicious!! After eating so much bread, I could barely eat my meal! I got the Monterray Chicken and it was dry and not very great. Good thing I got a side, salad, and lots of bread with my meal! I wouldn't get it again. My husband and mom liked their steaks. However, as usual, my husband had to send his back because no one knows show to cook a rare steak. For three people and a few glasses of beer each, the bill only came to $60 and we were all STUFFED. Can't beat that! I would give this place a second chance.

Where's the beef(?) My family raves about Lucky's Steakhouse and how I should try it! Today I went in and wanted to surprise a friend and take her a burger. I went and sat down at the bar area placed my order for 2 Mushroom and Swiss Burgers only to be told that ther are out of hamburger(?). I was stunned! I am not sure as to how many other people were affected by this shortage-but seems odd to me the would run out of hamburger. I was told that I could wait 5-10 minutes as they were sending an employee to "k

Left today without a meal. Entered and not greeted for several minutes by a hostess. Seated and not greeted by a waitress. We've eaten here before and know that the food is good and is worth the drive, but today I guess Lucky's Steakhouse didn't need our hard earned money. We decided to make a detour and head toward the beckoning flags, bucket of peanuts, Ft. Worth Ribeye and service with a smile instead.

Gross place, gross food. Loud and there always seems to be a screaming child. I ordered shrimp and they came out overcooked and rubbery. Everything is greasy, salty, and/or microwaved. The service is bad and I don't blame them; I wouldn't want to serve another human being this crap either.

    (1)
  • David C.

Not the cleanest place ive been too. The French Onion Soup was too strong and salty. The Caesar Salad dressing was overpowering. Stuffed mushrooms were very good. The filet was salty. The bright star was our waitress Kelly P. who was very attentive. Overall i was disappointed.

Because my family loves to torment me with "we went to Lucky's last night" every time I call home, I demanded this be the first meal on the menu during a recent venture to Romeo. It maintains its status as "best steakhouse in the world." You're just going to have to TRUST me on this, because nothing about it externally, or internally, would give you this vibe. Why? --it is in the parking lot of a strip mall. Off the highway. On your way "up north" --sitting in the lobby waiting for a table, you will be the best-dressed person (aside from the hostesses) if you're wearing an old sundress. The rule of the day is shorts, vacation tee shirts, and denim. I have definitely seen a fanny pack. --the hostesses blatantly make up wait times. I'm usually quoted 30-45 minutes, but have never waited more than 15. --The menu is covered in plastic. --Probably because 40% of the clientele is comprised of children. I'm talking screaming babies, flailing toddlers, elementary-school kids, etc. --the menu is very forgiving. Your entree includes unlimited bread and butter (which you could easily make a meal of, so restrain yourselves!), a salad, and a heaping portion of side, in addition to the steak/chicken/fish you ordered. It's an amazing value. --the menu isn't primarily steak, and it's not small. At a steakhouse of any caliber, that's a sin. But every time I go, there is a serious debate with family members about who gets what dish so we can all nibble from each others' plates. The fish is some of the best tasting I've had, ever. The steaks are succulent and seared to perfection. My mother swears by the chicken. Etc. I honestly haven't the slightest idea what Elizabeth R. is talking about - perhaps she's confusing this joint with any other restaurant in Imlay City? Perhaps she's only dined at Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris? It is honest to goodness the best place in the world, and that's coming from someone who has seen/tasted life outside of small-town Michigan and yet, always hankers to return.

I was told a few years ago by a friend of a friend that Lucky's is really great, but since it's a bit of a drive (75 miles or so), I just never made it in. But then, lo and behold, the single halfway-decent restaurant close to me closed down due to lack of business. The people where I live seem to have a hatred of good food, but I digress. So, 70-75 miles all of a sudden didn't seem so crazy for edible restaurant fare. I have now been to the Imlay City location twice and the Bay City location once, and both places are definitely worth the drive. I've always gone on off nights and as such have never waited for a table. The service has always been very adequate but nothing overly special, and that's just fine with me. The noise level is loud but not unbearable. The ambience is casual but also translates nicely to "date-y." The prices are very reasonable and I've always had a doggy bag for the next day's lunch. Now, on to what's important--the food. The seasoned bread with whipped butter is very hard to put down. The chicken tortilla soup is killer. The sides I've had (baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, and mac 'n cheese) are pretty meh. But the steak... Oh, the steak. I get the sirloin done rare, and while it isn't THE BEST restaurant steak I've had, it's probably second-best, and miles above what I expected out of the Thumb. I recommend it to fellow steak afficionados and that's saying something. Other than steak, my dining companions have raved about the prime rib and the chicken sandwich. Overall, Lucky's is definitely recommendable. You probably won't be blown away, but you'll always be happy to return.

Yum!! I went yesterday and was impressed. The food was good and the waitress we had was very nice and accommodating. You start out with fresh baked warm bread on the table. OMG so good, had to force myself to stop eating it for fear of not being able to eat any dinner. The one slightly below average part of our meal was my caesar salad. Just kinda bland, not much dressing and no anchovies. All the other food was great. The ribs were very tasty and tender. The coconut shrimp were sweet and crispy. My New York Strip was delicious, tender, and perfectly cooked medium rare. Yum. We got there early for dinner (around 4) and didn't have to wait for a table for 6 plus a highchair. But when we were leaving people we definitely lined up waiting for a table.

The quality of food has started going down. I came here regularly for steak. Last two times it has been a disappointment. Last time the steak was sour. Today the steak was dry. The soup was cold. The bloomin onion sauce tasteless. Time to look for a new steak place

  • Megan K.

Great ambiance. Lame, forgetful service. Microwaved leftover food. Rubbery microwaved leftover bread. Always packed. Not sure why. Perhaps another "nice" restaurant is desperately needed in the area? Been here SEVERAL times now and consistently underwhelmed. Shame, the atmosphere is nice. But that is about it. Oh and I should mention the bathrooms are clean. That has got to count for something.

  • Joshua M.

Lucky's is really hit-or-miss. You're just about guaranteed to miss during lunch, since all the food seems to be left over from the previous day's dinner. On days when they actually make what would seem to be fresh food at dinner time, it's killer. The wait time has gone down from about an hour during peak times to half-an-hour or less. Their menu can be kind of fickle (i.e. We have the german potatoes, but now we've taken them off the menu, oh wait, just kidding, we put them back again a month later), but that's not a huge deal. Expect to pay too much for bad food, or expect a great deal on good food, depending on when you go. Stay away from the Lucky's Prime Time sandwich. They shove the pieces of prime rib that are a little too marbled to serve alone under some cheese and put it on a piece of bread, so it's impossible to eat, and it's got hidden chunks of fat. Not good eats.

  • Jessica R.

Amazing food all around. Decent service- nothing special though. They serve bread before taking your order, which is absolutely amazing! I recently went and ordered the Marsala Chicken- definitely not a fan. But I really enjoyed their Talapia on a previous visit. I guess it's hit and miss.

    (4)
  • Jen G.

Always great food and service, but if you come in the evening, be prepared to wait! It's also very loud in the restaurant. But you can't beat their steaks, and they give you hugh portions! They also have wonderful salads, and side dishes!

  • Deborah R.

I have eaten here several times and the food is generally great. A few years ago I was really sick afterwards (hence, the lower rating), but every other time I have been to Lucky's has been great. delicious food (generic stuff-nothing custom) and friendly service. For the location it gets pretty busy Friday/Saturday nights and ends up having a tall wait, but they take reservations. Great bread for the table (resembles Red Lobster) and potato soup.

  • Sam T.

When we are back in MI we always make sure to come to this resturant. Although we were there at 5pm we were told we would have to wait 25-30 mins. After 21 mins. We were seated. The biggest drawback to this place is the noise. It is LOUD! Quick recommendation, the tall ice cold Killians. Very good. Now since we have been here before we know that the portions are pretty big. My wife and I split a chicken montery. We had plenty and were very full. Our food was classic Lucky's. Very good and served hot. We will be back for more because everyone in our party finds something that they love.

I'm not sure if there's anything they don't do well. This is a halfway point to meet my mom. We meet for lunches and early dinners. Upon arrival, they serve the most fabulous warm bread with whipped butter. Sinful. My all time favorite is their pecan crusted grouper....OMG - the roasted pecan butter sauce on the fish is sooooooo delish. I always order it with baked sweet potato and relish in it's deliciousness until I need to break out the Thanksgiving pants. My husband loves the steakhouse salad with medium rare sirloin and scrumptious horseradish sauce. Daughter loves the potato cheese soup. The coconut shrimp are also big and lovely. If you are headed "up north" from the metro-Detroit area...this place is a GREAT stop on your way up M-53!

This is a staple restaurant if your in the area! The only reason I don't rate this place 5 stars is because of the atmosphere and lack of a few key items to put it at 5 (as compared to Steakhouses in Troy, Rochester, Birmingham, Etc.,). All of there food is great! Steaks, Burgers, Pastas, Salads, everything! My wife and I live near by and we have been here more than a hand full of times. The Lucky's Ale Beer is always good. Just remember from Thursday afternoon until Sunday night this place is packed because this area lacks good food and drinks. Next closest place for competition is it's sister Lucky's Blindfish in Lapeer. No reservations here (which stinks) so you have to come in and physically meet the hostess for seating/wait time. Dress is casual so you will find those with sub-standard dress code sometimes. The amount of food you get for the price is great (portion size). It is definately worth a try!

    (4)
  • Jeremy P.

Food is excellent! They give you fresh baked bread before you get to order your meal. Be forewarned though, the portions are HUGE! Other than that, it's a great restaurant! Would highly recommend it!

  • Ashley A.

I've been to Lucky's a handful of times on the last few years and the restaurant never disappoints. I was surprised to read another review stating that the hostess station was empty upon entering because in every experience of mine there have always been two or three girls anxiously waiting to seat you or take down your name if there is a wait. The food is generally impressive. I can't understand why one would go to a steakhouse and order chicken then give the place a bad review. ORDER A STEAK, it's what the place is known for!! My favorite part about Lucky's is that they have always cooked my steak exactly how I want it! If I order rare, I get rare, when this seems to give other steakhouses difficulty. Yay!! Finally a restaurant with interesting, tasty, and out-of-the-norm side dishes. I love the grilled asparagus! If you have kept within lame franchise steakhouses, Lucky's will definitely be a treat for you, and be sure to bring your appetite portion sizes are mention-worthy here too.

  • Jason S.

The food here is always good, especially the potato soup and salads. The main dishes are about an 8 out of 10 and the portions are ample. If you catch them on a busy night, then the service is going to be very slow (I've eaten there at least 10 times and every time the service has been sloooooow). I dropped one star due to the slow service. I dropped a second star because of their waiting area. On any given Friday or Saturday night, there is usually about an hour wait for a table. They have a very large, open waiting area, but they only have two benches that each will seat about five people. The remaining 40 to 50 people waiting must therefore stand the entire time, unless they're lucky enough to get one of the 15 seats at the bar, which is almost always full. They could easily add seating for at least another 20 butts and I'm not sure why they don't.

Ok, maybe I went on a bad day compared to other reviews. 30 minute wait to be seated, no big deal. Once we we're seated our server arrived with two boxes in her hand and plastic bag she was trying to open, asked for our drink order. She came back and stated they were out of the beer I ordered, ok order a different. In the interim, a couple next to us was seated probably 5 minutes after us, they already have their drinks and are ordering, still don't have our drinks. Server comes back with drinks and takes our order finally. On her next lap asks if we need another drink, we say yes. My girlfriend had a glass of wine, she returns with our new drinks, only to notice my girlfriends glass has lipstick all over it, girlfriend doesn't wear lipstick ! Server takes it back and advises the bartender switched glasses by accident ! Her new glass has lipstick as well ! Manager please. Manager apologizes says it was the bartenders fault. Ok food finally arrives, the couple next to us mentioned earlier is finished. Ordered my steak. Medium , it's rare, I mean really rare. We ordered a side of Asparagus, no where to be found, she forgot to add it. I watched the manager go to at least 4 tables to field complaints in the hour we were there, like I said maybe in off night, not sure, but I won't be back to find out.

Food and service is always top notch here. The luckys prime special sandwich is great for lunch, I always get it with a side of French onion soup. I have been here probably a dozen times or so (including their Davison and Clio restaurants) and the only negative I can think of is it gets really loud when they are busy and I hate when it's loud during a meal. Other than that great food great service and good prices!

100 Reviews & its LUCKY'S Steakhouse , how Appropriate!! Had a gal pal tell me LUCKY S has the best Steaks, she even backed it up by saying 'if?' I did not like it , she would pick up the check! So dashed out there this past weekend [ I-69 & van Dyke ] , and hit it at about 2pm right after the lunch crowd & before the dinner crowd. only 1 flaw in our visit & I will mention it right now, upon entering there is a hostess kiosk, no one was there, no one came by, it was not 'Presently Staffed' However an alert waitress , saw us & the 4 people behind us after 7 minutes & stepped up and sat us, I will not deduct a star for that 'bump in the road' Our server Landon greeted us promptly and was very friendly & attentive A+ We both wanted Rib-eyes , but the lunch menu did not list any, BUT he offered us a dinner menu which had a loaded Rib-eye , with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions & Gorgonzola cheese for $17 with a baked potato and soup or salad [ the Tortilla Soup was Great !] A++ The Rib-eye was cooked medium rare, perfectly and was moist all the way through, the fat on the edges was trimmed away before arriving at our table. I wish it was not 34 miles each way, or I would make it a regular stop , so now it gets to be my when I am near it or Port Huron , Lucky's it is! PS: they have 3-4 locations along the I-75 corridor

Yes, I know . . ."don't order chicken at a steakhouse" . . . blah blah blah! You should be able to order anything off the menu at any given restaurant, and it should be well made. Well, at lucky's that wasn't the case. Our whole experience at this restaurant was horrible. It started out with the Hostess, being rude and unpleasant, our waitress was oblivious to an empty glass, and our food was horrible. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and it didn't even fit the bun; he had to play, "where's waldo" with his piece of chicken. My hamburger was over cooked to the point it was like a hockey puck, and I asked for it to be medium well . . .so much for asking how you wanted it cooked because that must have been for the appearance of "yeah , we are a steakhouse. " If for whatever reason you are faced with having to eat at this awful place order an appetizer of their fried ravioli. The Ravioli's were delish. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone nor will I be returning.

Excellent food , I ordered the 28 oz big porterhouse which was delicious, although I ordered it medium it was on the rare side but instill enjoyed it my fiance had the snow crab legs (2lbs) and enjoyed the tenderness and flavor of them, we enjoyed these with a couplenof margaritas on the rocks, I would definitely recommend this to a friend, our server was good and attentive as well. Only thing holding it from five stars is the decor which is the same exact set up as the owners other restaurant called blind fish.

You definitely will not go wrong making the trek to Lucky's! We were in the area, and someone else said to us, don't waste the trip, go to Lucky's! It was very busy, and we were seated immediately. The bread they bring to the table is amazing, dinner comes with a very nice house salad... oh, and did I mention... the Prime Rib is amazing! Definitely worth the trip!!

The prime rib was amazing, served with my choice is a house salad (ranch worthy of a straw), and sautéed asparagus. The horseradish spread had a most pleasant bite. I enjoyed a glass of Moscato which was very delicious. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was a bit loud but not distracting from our meal. Served with a loaf of seasoned/garlic bread that was freshly made and enjoyed by everyone. Also served and notable are the ribs with a deep smokey molasses flavor and au-gratin potatoes.

Service was great, steak was great even better than I had expected. Place was packed and everything came out fast and perfect, wife's well done was just that and my medium rare was just that. The only negative is that the table and menu was greasy, just like the other places owned by these people.

They only take reservations Mon-Thurs for 10ppl or over.. We were told over the phone we would only have 5 min wait for 6 ppl, got there at 4:50PM and were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait... took 50 mins to get seated, with many tables being sat before us.. when we would go up to the hostess (3 young girls), they would just giggle then talk about us when we went to sit back down and wait. Food and service once seated was pretty good.. but when we talked to manager about our wait, she just blew us off. Won't be going back, despite the good food, a couple people can ruin it all!

Always good food and big portion sizes. Even the salad that is included with your dinner is huge. The last thing I purchased was the completely fall off the bone baby back ribs and there was more than enough for dinner and lunch the next day. The bread they bring out to start your meal is always warm and very good. The beer and wine selection is adequate with something for everyone. If you want a good steak or seafood without paying a lot of money, this is the place to go.

I have been to Lucky's before and always had a great meal. Last night I had the best steak that I've had in years. On top of that it was less than 20 dollars! Great place to go.

Amazing food! It's in a strip mall and doesn't look like much when you come in. . but the food is crazy good. Portions are huge and everything tastes great! We went on Sunday night - there was a 20 min wait. As soon as we were seated the waitress brought us bread. Many loaves of delicious bread. And she kept 'em coming! I never had to ask for a drink refill either. The service was top notch. The grilled mahi mahi was perfect. I ate a little bit off of everyone else's plates (no problem, all my friends are used to my fork appearing out of nowhere) .. . garlic mashed potatoes, spiced apples, salmon, soup, everything was tasty. We ate like we'd just been rescued from a deserted, foodless island. I'm surprised no thumbs were lost in the chaos.

Pleasant place to enjoy lunch on a road trip. Ordered the English Pub Fish Sandwich and the Grouper Fish Sandwich - both were very generously sized and delicious. Reasonable prices. Very nice, casual atmosphere and friendly service. Would stop by again.

We stopped about 8 pm, it's just off I69 between Flint and Port Huron. Had chicken with a crab/shrimp/ lobster sauce which was thick and really good, mixed Vegs. Also crab cakes- best I have had in a long time. And a wedge salad that was crisp with blue cheese dressing and real bacon. We saw a waitress actually thoroughly cleaning the stands that trays are set on. Good for them! Our waitress was friendly, prompt, good. Their ac works very well, I was chilly. Only criticism- the music in the bathroom was too loud.

Place is perfect every time. Steak, crab legs, prime rib, shrimp they have it all. Wedge salad is must, soup is great too. Always a fight between soup or salad, very hard choice. Drinks always prepared to perfection. Service always good. Prices very reasonable for a steakhouse. Everything is always fresh and well prepared. I just wish it was closer.

Very good food. A little bit of a wait to be seated - but worth it. Every aspect of the dining experience was great. Quality of food, size of portions and the service.
